14 Is anything too hard for the Lord?
I have laughed at God before. Sarah....bible Sarah did too. She didn't believe it could be done. She was promised a child in her old age, and she laughed at it. So let's take this from Sarah's point of view. She's old. She is STILL waiting on a promise from God; a 25 year old promise from God. She convinced Abraham to conceive a son with Hagar, their slave. It is done. God promised her husband a great nation would come through him, and she helped to make that happen. The idea, at around 90 years of age, of having a son is just crazy. God can't do that. She didn't say that, but she thought it. She laughed at the possibility. She didn't have enough faith in God at that moment to let all of her fears, concerns, and skepticism be overridden by the fact that He is God. I don't even think I understand that statement entirely. I don't think I yet grasp that. It's such a simple, yet powerful and awesome statement. Do you know what that means? It means anything is possible when He is in the equation. It's hard for me to see that sometimes. It's hard for others to see that too because when you depend on yourself for so much, you only expect results that you can accomplish. You know your capabilities. You know your limits. So when you are faced with something, whether big or small, you say, "I can't do it" or "That is not possible". Have you even gone to God about it? Have you even asked God if it was possible? Remember, God is in the equation. now Here, I drew a diagram. (And no I didn't go to an art school, but you may please leave donations at the door).
